  Who doesn't love the iconic, coming of age experience that is the school dance? It's the one time teens are distracted from their scheduled angst, and such a promised event can cause peace at even the most divided of schools while everybody plans for the most important THING E V E R. Getting excited only makes sense. There's the ubiquitous red plastic cups! Questionable fashion choices and haircuts! Playlists filled with early 2000s r&b and slow jams for nervous slow dances! You better get pumped for this shit, kid. Because that's what you are now, a high school kid, and you're going to the dance - willingly or unwillingly.
